John Charles Nelson Obituary
Nelson John Charles Nelson, 78, of Grove City. Born in Prenter, West Virginia, December 9, 1935. Graduated from Logan H.S., Logan, West Virginia. He went on to graduate from Coyne Electrical School, Chicago, Illinois. Our loving and generous husband and father passed away on February 28, 2014. He was surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by his parents William and Margaret Nelson, brothers William and Thomas Nelson, and sisters Catherine Korzenborn and Sheila Nelson Flinn. John was Plant Manager and retired after 35 years from G. Fredrick Smith (GFS) Chemical Company. He always said that each day was different and he enjoyed working with "the Professor" and Beanie. John was an avid golfer during his retirement. He loved going for coffee with his golfing "buddies." He spent many hours walking on the beach in Florida and all over Grove City. Our husband and father was a kind and caring man. He was always willing to help anyone in any way. His heart was full of love for his family. John is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Imogene; son, Brad (Ann) Nelson; daughters, Pamela (Jerry) Cuckler, Alesia (Dean) Johnson and Valerie (Gary) Dilley; grandchildren, Donald Byerly, Michael Byerly, Cassandra Kroetz, Rebecca Dilley, Aaron Kroetz, Noah Nelson, Kristen Nelson, Jennifer (Troy) Dramble and Adam (Amy) Seipel; great-grandchildren, Evan, Ace, Brooke, Lily, Hailey, Ella and Miles; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Our wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather will be missed immensely. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Robert Tolar officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice or Palliative Care, c/o Mount Carmel Foundation, 6150 E.
