Glen V. Wheeler Obituary
Wheeler Glen V. Wheeler, age 88 of Columbus, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014. Glen was born October 19, 1925 in Vincennes, Indiana, son of the late James and Elsie Wheeler. Also preceded in death by his beloved wife Evelyn Ruth Grove and eight siblings. He will be greatly missed byeight his family, Judie Fugitt, David (Cathy) and Dennis (Sharon) Wheeler; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Alice (Coleman) Archer; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Worthington Christian Church, 8145 N. High St., where family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until time of service. Additionally, family will also receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. 7th St., Ironton, Ohio and from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Central Christian Church, 1541 S. 7th St., Ironton where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, Ohio. Memorial gifts are preferred to Glen V. & Evelyn R. Wheeler Scholarship Fund Johnson University, 7900 Johnson Dr., Knoxville, TN 37998, the Residence Benevolence Fund, c/o Worthington Christian Village, 165 Highbluffs Blvd, Columbus, OH 43235, or to Worthington Christian Church, 8145 N.
