Smith Doris Ruth Smith, age 90, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on March 1, 2014, at Kobacker House. She was born in Hamden, Ohio to the late Howard and Rosa Graves. She worked many years as a long distance operator for Ohio Bell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Russell (Jack) Smith, and her siblings Freda Virgie Dell Howard (Freck) and James, and nephew Mike. She is survived by children, Sheri (Tom) Keene, Valerie (David) Prosser, Bob (Bonnie) Smith, and Chris (Carrie) Smith; grandchildren, Laura (Tim) McCoy, Kimberly (Andrew) McNeal, Matt (fiancÃ©e Laura) Milless, Mark (Katie) Keene, Blaine (Jodie) Keene, Michael (Erica) Kaltwasser, Steven (Steffi) Kaltwasser, Bill, Jared and Derek Smith; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her sister, Betty Carmean; and sister-in-law, Maryellen Moore. Dorrie was a lady of faith who loved Jesus, her family, and her church families. She had been a long time member of Lake Ann (Michigan) United Methodist Church, and recently a member of Peachblow United Methodist Church, 3247 Peachblow Rd., Lewis Center, OH 43035, where the memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 with Pastors Blaine and Mark Keene officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service time.
