Mintun Edward Joseph Mintun, age 79, passed away March 22, 2014. Born April 3, 1934 to the late Margaret (Horvath) and Charles Homer Mintun in Columbus, Ohio. Graduated from Aquinas College High School. Proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Retired from Timken Roller Bearing Company. Lifelong OSU fan. Preceded in death by parents, brother Charles Julius "Bud", sister Joyce Eileen and stepfather James Mako. Survived by loving wife of 36 years Opal; daughters, Joyce (Tony) Cleary and Marcia (Jeff) Dillion; son, Mark; stepson, Tym (Lisa) Tyler; grandchildren, Angie (Taylor) Lipovsky, Cara (Jack) Blakeslee, Jess Cleary, Claire and Sarah Tyler; great-granddaughter, Ava. Friends may call Tuesday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 4661 Kenny Road where a Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Entombment following at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
