Woodrow James R. Woodrow, 71, of Ashville, formerly of Orient, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at his residence unexpectedly. Jim was a life long resident of Pickaway County, born February 7, 1943 in Circleville to the late Timothy Perry and Jane (Burris) Wood. He worked as a School Bus Driver for Teays Valley District and Wayne County, WV. Survived by his wife, Suan (Coontz) Woodrow; sons, Tim (Jessica) Woodrow of Ashville and James Woodrow of Commercial Point; brothers, John (Sis) Woodrow and Tony Burris, both of Newark; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Preceded in death by daughter-in-law Freda Woodrow. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the OLIVER-CHEEK FUNERAL HOME, 420 W. Main St., Ashville with Rev. Ed Muncy officiating. Interment will follow in Beckett Cemetery, Commercial Point. Calling hours Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Family request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home for expenses.
