Melfi James A. Melfi, age 67, died March 25, 2014, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Graduated from Whetstone High School. Member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, American Italian Golf Association (AIA). Preceded in death by father Tony Melfi, well-known golfer, founder of the AIA and City Official, step-father Bill Stanton, uncles Veto, Charles, Mike, Prospero, Carmen, and Leonard and Aunt Roxie Ehrenberg. Survived by mother, Georgia Stanton; sisters, Chris (Rick) Reese, niece, Alana; Mary (Bill) Fitzsimons, nephew, Jordan, niece Brittany; cousins, Mike Melfi, Rosemary Shoaf and many Melfi, Rector, Stanton cousins. Also survived by Aunt Mary Taylor and Uncle Dean Rector. Friends may call at the SOUTHWICK-GOOD & FORTKAMP FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3100 N. High St., Friday 4-7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 20 E. Dominion Blvd. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
