Cabakoff Florence Garber Cabakoff, age 97, passed away on March 27, 2014. Preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Dora Garber; husband, Dr. Izador Cabakoff; husband, Dr. Meyer Hantman; son, Howard Cabakoff; brother, Irwin Garber; sisters, Zelda Miller and Betty Garber. She is survived by her sons, Jerome Cabakoff and Steven Cabakoff; granddaughters, Aimee and Rachel Cabakoff; sister-in-law, Marilyn Garber; Sandra Cabakoff; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Florence was a member of Hadassah and Congregation Agudas Achim and its sisterhood. She volunteered for the USO during WWII and ran the Agudas Achim gift shop. She was a strong supporter of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Columbus Jewish Day School, and the State of Israel, specifically Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem. She had a passion for playing golf and enjoyed playing into her late 80's. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Sunday, March 30 at EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. Burial will follow at New Agudas Achim Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the Cabakoff residence Sunday - Thursday evenings.
