Richards Evelyn D. Richards, 90 years old of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away April 4, 2014. Evelyn was born July 10, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois to Francis and Helen Ebrom. Evelyn has been an exemplary citizen and volunteer in her beloved Reynoldsburg, since she arrived there over 50 years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church; recognized for her outstanding service to the Reynoldsburg Community Visitor Bureau; recognized as Central Ohio Sr. Citizen of the Year, Hall of Fame; she was Grand Marshall of the Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival Parade in 1992. Evelyn received recognition from the Ohio House of Representatives 121st General Assembly for service to Central Ohio for: The Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival, Christmas on the Town, Founders Day, Sesquicentennial Celebration, 4th of July celebrations, for substantial fundraising for these and other events, from the Speaker of the House of Ohio. Evelyn was an active member of the Reynoldsburg, Ohio Historical Society. Preceded in death by her son Robert S. Richards of Somerset, OH, and grandsons Jordan and Ryan Richards. Evelyn is survived by her brother, Hillard Ebrom of Reynoldsburg; children, Wesley Richards and wife Terri of Arizona, Susan Richards Holmes and husband Michael of Texas; grandchildren, Robert Richards of Ohio, Jennifer Holmes Peterson and Katharine Holmes Sutt of Texas, Lauren Richards of California, Wyatt Richards of Arizona; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 8 from 5-8 p.m. at COTNER FUNERAL HOME in Reynoldsburg. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 9 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Reynoldsburg. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made in honor of Evelyn to the , www.alz.org.
