Mathews Charles Walter Mathews III, 72, passed away April 7, 2014 at Kobacker House with his family by his side. Retired TSGT U.S. Air Force, Vietnam Veteran, Retired Fire Chief at Rickenbacker. Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Reta; sons, Wayne, Allen (Tina), Tim; daughter, Theresa; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Pat (Ed) Walters, Mark Dement; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by parents Charles and Christine, brother James. Family will receive friends on Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MAEDER QUINT TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. HIGH ST. Funeral Service Friday 11 a.m. at PARSONS BAPTIST CHURCH, 3930 PARSONS AVE., where Funeral Procession will form. Burial Franklin Hills. Pastor Charles Blake, Officiating.
