Gothard Franklin D. Gothard, age 80, of Columbus, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at his home. He was born April 21, 1933 in Eureka, Ohio to the late Marvin J. and Lesta H. (Broyles) Gothard. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife Mary E. (Foreman) Gothard. Frank was retired from Columbus Plastics after 25 plus years of service, and Highlights for Children after 10 plus years. He was also a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He is survived by his children, Cheryl A. (Donald) Davitz, Craig A. Gothard, and Gary L. Gothard, Sr.; grandchildren, Zane and Andrew Davitz, Seth and Alyssa Gothard, Sigman and Gary L. Gothard, Jr.; sister, Phyllis Pitts; brother, E. L. (Toot) Gothard; and other relatives and friends. His memberships included the Chicago Avenue Christian Church, and Cherry Creek Church of Christ. He was also a Past Master of West Gate Masonic Lodge #623 F.&A.M. Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at the RUTHERFORD-SHROYER FUNERAL HOME, 1278 W.
