Bryan Wilmer Ulylesses Bryan, age 86, of Pataskala, passed away on April 16, 2014 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Wilmer was born August 30, 1927 to the late Byron and Cora Bryan in Charleston, WV and raised in rural St. Albans area (Browns Creek). He was drafted into the US Army Air Force in 1945 and retired from the US Air Force in 1968 as a M/SGT. He then worked in the Columbus, Ohio US Post Office for 23 years and held many part-time jobs over time. He was a member of NARFE, NRA, APWU Retirees, and WBCCI (Air Streamers). He loved traveling, camping, OSU Buckeyes and was a lifelong Baptist. Wilmer is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis of 42 years; children, Sheila Bush, Wilmer (Clare), Harvey, Cora (Jeff) Newell; mother of his children, Flora; grandchildren, April, Jennifer, Stephanie, Megen, Matthew, and Sarah; seven great grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth (Ollie) Treible; brothers, David (Mary), Jack (Susie); special friends, Joe Orkis and Lonnie Souders. Preceded in death by son-in-law Wayne Bush, grandson Bryan Newell, sister Phyllis, brothers Robert and Paul. He misses his farm dogs, Boots, Blackie and Smokey Jo. Family will receive friends at KAUBER-SAMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main Street, Pataskala, OH 43062 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, April 18.
