Shirley Ann Pruden Obituary
Pruden Shirley Ann Pruden, age 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. She was born June 2, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert and Joan Boldt. Shirley was Homecoming Queen and graduated in 1955 from West High School. She attended the Church of the Messiah in Westerville and volunteered with their care team who took flowers to those in nursing homes. She was also a volunteer at the RadioU radio station in Westerville. Shirley was a member of the Blendon Township Senior Center and was passionate about collecting and visiting light houses. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Robert L. Boldt and John Cornell and sister Sharon Humphrey. Shirley is survived by her children, Kathy (John, Sr.) Shumate, Karen (John) Seidenschmidt, Kimberly (Robert) Ousley, and Kevin (fiancé, Beverly) Pruden; grandchildren, John (Karrie) Shumate, Jr., Nicole (Erik) Cantu, Brooke Seidenschmidt, John Seidenschmidt, Jr., Joshua (Kayleigh) Ousley, and Katryna Ousley; great-granddaughter, Isabelle Joy Shumate; sisters, Carole Walton and Beverly Davis; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great friends. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Messiah, 51 N. State St., Westerville, Ohio 43081 with Rev. Dr. Jim Wilson officiating.
