Palmer Donald Eugene Wayne Palmer, age 77, went home to the Lord Sunday, April 27, 2014. Born July 27, 1936 in Columbus, OH to Emanuel and Blanche Palmer, Donald was a military veteran. He had a long career working in the mortuary industry, which ended two years ago with his retirement from Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Service. He was a graduate of Central High School, and attended Mt. Olivet and Antioch Baptist Churches. Donald was predeceased by his parents Emanuel and Blanche Palmer, brothers Oliver, Bill and Harold, sisters Irene Caldwell and Francene Kemp and nephews Robert and Rickey, grandson Sterling Austin Palmer. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 35 years, Sue Palmer; children, Donna Jean, Tony (Shenice), Donald (Mary), Rodney (Lisa), Gregory (Mona), and Todd (Dorothy); sister, Christine L. Jones; brother, Henry Frank Palmer; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2014 in the chapel of DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E.
