Lewis Harry Arden Lewis, of Columbus, OH, passed away May 3, 2014. He was born on July 13, 1926. Harry is a former Marine proudly serving during World War II. He was a 46 year veteran of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office achieving the rank of Lieutenant. He was very active in the Provost Unit of the Aladdin Shriners and participated in the Aladdin Shrine Circus for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife Delores, parents Arden and Ruth (Smith) Lewis, sister Mary, brothers, Robert and Charles. Surviving family includes daughter, Kristina (Jeff) Leiter; step-son, Scott Blacker; grandchildren, Jeffrey Leiter, Douglas Leiter, Amelia Mazza, Abigail Leiter, MacKenzie Blacker, Noah Blacker; great-grandchildren, Chase Mazza and Isabella Leiter. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2014 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, SW CHAPEL, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH where a funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Harry to the Aladdin Shriner's Hospital Association for Children, 3850 Stelzer Road, Columbus, OH 43219.
