George Joseph Lee (Jake) George, Jr., age 59, of New Holland, passed away May 5, 2014 after a hard courageous fight with numerous loving family and friends at his bedside. He was born October 9, 1954 in Washington Court House, Ohio. He was an amazing Dad, Grandpa, and a loving man. He was one-of-a-kind and much larger than life itself. He started to work at the age of 17 at Versa Corp. then later to Logitech, Inc. Preceded in death by father Joseph Lee George, Sr., grandparents James and Mahala Morris, Ben and Dorothy George, numerous aunts and uncles. Survived by wife, Jackie; children, Joey George, Jamison George, JoLeigh George, Jeanie (Earl), Brenda (Randy), Teina (John); parents, James and Betty Williams; brothers, Steve George, Erick (Becky) George, Bob Miller; sister, Cheryl (Daniel) Dwyer; grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Jaysa Walisa, Gwen George, Gaze George, Katie, Kirsten, Austin, Ryan, Joey, Christina; several nieces and nephews; numerous family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. A Funeral service will begin at 8 p.m. with Billy Warner officiating.
