Stickney Robert L. Stickney, age 94, of Columbus, died Saturday, May 5, 2014 at Wesley Glen. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Preceded in death by his wife Mary Alice Stickney. He is survived by daughters, Rebecca (John) Rayl and Melissa (Mark) Scharer; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Member of Indianola Presbyterian Church. U.S. Army Veteran of World War II where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Life Member of Disabled American Veterans. Friends may call from 10 a.m.-12Noon Saturday, May 17, 2014 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME, 2383 North High Street, Columbus after which family and friends will proceed to Forest Lawn Memorial Park for Graveside Services with Military Honors and burial with Rev. Susan Warrener Smith, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.
