Davis Doris J. Davis, 83, of Columbus passed away May 27, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Doris was born in Greenville, Ohio to the late Harley and Velma Clopp. Doris graduated in 1948 from New Madison High School. She retired after 25 years as an assistant to Dr. Robert Tootle. Doris enjoyed woodworking and always exhibited a creative spirit. She enjoyed traveling around the world and was full of joy with a keen sense of humor. She always loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. Doris leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Jack Davis; children, Pam Petrie, Sandy (Jody) Davis-Connors, and John M. Davis, III; grandchildren, Jason (Fiancée Teresa), Joey Connors, Trina Davis, Raelynn Davis, John Spencer, and Rosalynn Rice; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Jackson, Emerson, Savannah, Georgia, Cody, and Jacob; sisters, Mary Collins, Janet Jordan, and Nancy (Tim) Pruitt; brother, Bob (Joanie) Clopp. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charles Clopp and William Clopp. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Dan Melaragno and Dr. Thomas Sweeney for their care and compassion for Doris. Memorial contributions may be made to the in Memory of Doris Davis. Family will receive friends on SATURDAY, MAY 31, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. at the RUTHERFORD CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 N.
