Eula Mae Jones Obituary
Jones Eula Mae Jones was born August 30, 1921 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. On Thursday, May 29 2014, at the age of 92, Eula peacefully passed away at the Manor of Whitehall. She was preceded in death by parents Ulysses and Cora (Blake) Porter, husband Alphonso Jones, daughter Shirlry Gilbert, son Rev. William Binford, and siblings Alma Terrell, Clyde Porter, Mildred Nixon, Forrest Porter, and Robert Porter. Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Pamela (Donald) Foreman and Lavern Jones; daughter-in-law, Marybelle Binford; grandchildren, Shirley Ann Bell, Michael Anthony Jones, Kai (Treva) Binford, Gina (Anthony) Jackson, Kente (Michelle) Binford; 16 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and one great great great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church for over 50 years and a member of Royal Aids. Eula was well known for having fun, and joking around. She loved to dance, go to the casinos, dine out, and go shopping with her daughters. She really enjoyed going to Hoover Dam, and various parks, enjoying the scenery, people in the community and watching the ducks. Eula loved the Lord and the beautiful family God blessed her with. The family of Eula Mae Jones would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Manor of Whitehall and Tridia Hospice for their great care. Visitation 10 a.m. until time of service, Funeral 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014. Both at Shiloh Baptist Church, 720 Mount Vernon Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43203. Rev Otha Gilyard, Officiant. Interment immediately afterwards at Evergreen Cemetery located at 1401 Woodland Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43219. Arrangements by C.D.
