Akre Michael Anthony Akre, age 72, passed away at Mt. Carmel West on June 3, 2014. Mike was born on June 2, 1942, in San Francisco, CA. Mike retired from the U.S. Army in 1979 after serving 4 Tours of Duty in Vietnam. He was a great magician and loved everything about magic. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary Anne; his favorite niece, Laurie Krauss Burgess; brother-in-law, Robert E. (Lissie) Krauss; and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank everyone who took such great care of Mike.
