He was a member of the Galion and Grandview Congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses where he served as an elder and was active in his volunteer ministry. Richard was an avid sports fan who faithfully supported the Cleveland Indians and the Browns. He especially enjoyed fishing with his buddies for perch on Lake Erie and golfing.
