Cloud James Leo "Jim" Cloud, age 83, of Powell, died on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Kobacker House in Columbus. Born in Columbus, Jim was the son of the late Leo F. Cloud and Lovella Burton Cloud. He was a graduate of Central High School and also attended The Ohio State University. Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gwen; and his daughters, Pam (Keith) Thomas of Frederick, MD, and Stephanie (Mike) Scarbrough of Columbus, OH. He will also be missed by his grandson, James, who was the greatest delight of his later years. His sister, Mary Jane (Charles) Biederman of Cordova, TN, also survives him. Jim was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Korea. He then worked for the State of Ohio, retiring from the Bureau of Employment Services in 1984. He gave many hours in volunteer service to Camp Fire Inc. Jim loved his family, fishing, bingo, and playing bridge. He was also a great sports fan, and especially loved watching the Buckeyes, the Reds, and the Yankees. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy St. (Powell Rd./St. Rt. 750/1/4 mile east of Sawmill Pkwy.), Powell, OH 43065. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. prior to the service.
