White, OP Dominican Sister of Peace Anne (Cyrilla) White, OP, died at Mohun Health Care Center, Columbus, OH, on Saturday, June 21, 2014. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on March 24, 1928. Sr. Anne was preceded in death by her parents Robert E. and Margaret (Houston), two sisters, and three brothers. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Sr. Anne entered the Novitiate of the former Dominican Sisters of St. Mary of the Springs in Columbus in 1947 and made her Profession of Vows in 1949. Throughout her life, Sr. Anne ministered in a variety of areas. In Pennsylvania, she taught at St. William GS (East Pittsburgh); in New York she taught at St. Andrew GS (Flushing) and was secretary at St. Vincent Ferrer HS (New York); and in Connecticut as secretary at Northwest Catholic HS (West Hartford). In Ohio, Sr. Anne ministered at St. Francis GS (Columbus), as an aide at Mohun Health Care Center (Columbus), and in the Columbus Motherhouse finance office and mail room before entering a ministry of prayer and presence. The wake was held at the Columbus Motherhouse on Monday, June 23. The Funeral Mass will be held this morning, June 23, at the Columbus Motherhouse at 9 a.m. followed by burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
