Obituary Condolences

Eric E. Ray Obituary
Ray Eric E. Ray, of Upper Arlington, died at Kobacker House on June 24, 2014, at the age of 52. He was born in Columbus, son of Joseph W. and Lucille Ray. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelors degree in marketing and enjoyed a successful 20-year career with Motorola in Los Angeles, Chicago, Fort Worth and Columbus. Eric's favorite pastimes included skiing, hockey and especially spending time with his children. Music was an integral part of his life which he found comforting, especially as he battled his final illness. He also was active in Jennifer's Night Out, a brain tumor support group in Columbus whose members provided inspiration over the past several years. Eric is survived by his children, Elizabeth Baker Ray, Caroline West Ray, and Joseph Stephen Ray; his parents, Lucille and Joseph Ray; his sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Enio Sebastiani; his nephews, Eric and Nicholas Sebastiani; and his special friend, Valerie Brock and her children, Claire, Emily and Benny. Eric's family would like to thank his many friends who provided support and consolation during his time at Kobacker House, and especially those who engaged with him over the past seven years - your friendship will never be forgotten. Visitation will be at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. in Upper Arlington, on Wednesday, July 2, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A scattering of the ashes will be held at First Community Church Memorial Garden at a later date.
