Kessell Howard Carroll Kessell, age 78, of Groveport, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, from injuries received in an accidental fall. Born November 17, 1935 in Nitro, WV, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a retired salesman and driver for Stroh's, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Groveport. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Karen E. Kessell; children, Kristi (Jeff) Winkler, Brenda (Tracy) Sargent, Kevin Kessell, Ret. MSGT; grandchildren, Travis, Jessica, Justin, SSgt and Karen, Lauren and Kai. Friends may visit 12 noon to 2 p.m. Monday, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Wounded Warrior Project in Howard's memory.
