Copeland (Baker) Mary Baker Copeland, age 90, beloved wife of Floyd H. Baker and William C. Copeland, and much-loved daughter of Vernon and Marie Grace, joined them in eternal peace on Saturday, July 12, 2014. Born Mary Catherine Grace, December 5, 1923 in Carson City, MI, Mary graduated from St. Mary's, then worked in Lansing where she met and married Floyd. Together they moved to Columbus, OH where their family was raised, where later she helped to run Baker Construction Co., and also developed a talent and love of golfing, winning her flight in many amateur golf tournaments in the Columbus area. Later, as a Naples, FL resident, she was able to enjoy golfing year-round and also met and became the wife of William Copeland. Her loves through life were her family, friends, church, golfing, bridge, traveling, enjoying Florida living, and a good party. Mary is the loving mother of Philip (Susan) Baker, Sally (John) Imes, Barbara (Bruce) McLoughlin, and Kathleen (Jeff) Creamer; grandmother of Jennifer, Kristen (Jamie), Alison, Jeffrey (Gina), Julie (Rob), Tara (Ed), Colleen (Jon), William and Robert; great-grandmother of Courtney, Trevor, Alisa, Connor, Robert, Sarah, Nolan, Joel, Tyler, McKenna, Jacob and Tess; Dear sister of David (Ruth) Grace (deceased), Richard (Elsie-deceased) Grace, and Patricia (Michael-deceased) Magee; and was an aunt, cousin and friend to many. The family would like to thank the Staff, and the Hospice Caregivers of the National Church Residence at Mill Run in Hilliard for the love and caring that they provided Mary. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. THURSDAY at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., Powell, OH 43065 (614)-792-1471. (The funeral home is located on W. Olentangy St./Powell Rd./SR 750 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Parkway.) Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. FRIDAY, JULY 18, 2014 at ST. BRIGID OF KILDARE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, OH 43017. The Reverend Monsignor Joseph Hendricks, Celebrant.
