Fantozzi Carlo Anthony Fantozzi, age 89, passed away peacefully July 13, 2014 with his family at his side. He was born November 23, 1924 in Columbus, Ohio returning to Alvito, Italy at 4 years old where he fostered his inventive nature and thirst for knowledge. He returned to Columbus in 1947 to pursue the life he had dreamed of. He worked at National Electric Coil for 20 years, founded Alvito Builders, and then became owner of Frebis Hardware prior to his retirement. Carlo was a selfless man who would drop everything to help his family and friends and will be painfully missed by all whose lives he touched. He is preceded in death by his wife Josephine (Macioce) Fantozzi, parents Giacomo and Cesidia Fantozzi, in-laws Loreto and Loreta Macioce, brother Gerardo Fantozzi, and sister in-laws Vincenzina and Elena Fantozzi. He is survived by his loving children, Mary Jo (Greg) Smith, Larry (Pauline) Fantozzi, Carol (Mike) Boehm; adoring grandchildren, Bianca Smith, Gina and Michael Fantozzi, Joseph and Stephanie Boehm; brother, Luigi Fantozzi; brother-in-law, Valerio (Marybeth) Macioce; many cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. Family will receive friends Thursday 4-8 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home, 1068 S. High St. Prayer service 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Friday at Corpus Christi Church, 1111 E. Stewart Ave. Father Rod Damico, celebrant. Entombment St. Joseph Cemetery.
