Hill Vivian L. Hill, age 82 of Galena, went to be with her Lord Saturday morning July 19, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 31, 1932 in Boothesville, WV to the late Albert Sidney and Constance Vendetta (Board) Hawkins. She was a graduate of Otterbein College and was a substitute secondary school teacher for Big Walnut Schools. She was a longtime member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church and enjoyed quilting. Vivian was a foster mother for at least 50 children. She was dedicated to her Lord and her church was a big part of her life. She always put the benefit of others ahead of herself and did for them before herself. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Clifford E. Hill, married December 23, 1953; sons, Clifford L. (Saundra) Hill of Sunbury, Michael L. Hill of Galena, Pete (Kimberly) Hill of Johnstown; daughter, Valerie (William) McGraw of Westerville. Nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; brother, Tom Hawkins of Worthington; sister, Frances Condit of New Jersey. Preceded in death by brothers Ray and Howard. Keeping with Vivian's wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service observed. Arrangements entrusted to the DEVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME SUNBURY. Condolences may be expressed at
