Fantozzi Luigi Anthony Fantozzi, age 88, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Kobacker House surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 3, 1926. At the age of 2 the family traveled back to Alvito, Italy where he was raised and educated. Luigi, with his older brother Carlo returned to Columbus, Ohio in 1947 to build a new life. While working at National Electric Coil he was drafted into the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict. In 1956 he married Vincenzina Frasca, his bride of 51 years. Luigi with his brother Gerardo started L&G Fantozzi Builders in 1961. They worked hard together for 17 years. In 1979, he and his son Gino created Gino Fantozzi Builders Inc. from which he retired in 1996. Although he was known as a good homebuilder he was an even better family builder. Luigi lived a simple life of work, family, and faith. He respected everyone he met and to know him was to love him. Preceded in death by his loving wife Vincenzina, parents Giacomo and Cesidia Fantozzi, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Antonio and Margherita Frasca, brothers Carlo and Gerardo Fantozzi, sisters-in-law Josephine and Elena Fantozzi and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Michele and Maria Pandolfi.
