Mellberg Lucy Mae Bloomfield Mellberg, born May 13, 1918 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Lillian and Fred Bloomfield Peacefully joined our Lord and Savior August 6, 2014 with her family by her side. Lucy married Earl Mellberg in 1966. Surviving are sons, Fred (Paula) Foreman of Jasper, OH, Robert Larry Foreman of Waverly, OH, Harry Daniel (Vera) Foreman of Williamsport, OH; daughter, Karen (Kelley) Tolliver of Piketon, OH; seven grandchildren, Rick Foreman of Hilliard, OH, Teresa (Todd) Hart-Chaney of Frankfort, OH, John Hart of Camden, OH, Julie Thomas of Mt. Sterling, OH, Cheryl (Bob) Graffagnino of Worthington, OH, Elizabeth (David) Claffey of Williamsport, OH, Dianie (Chris) Rovnak of North Carolina; granddaughter-in-law, Sue Foreman of Michigan; 18 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; two sisters, Yvone Nelson of Mt. Pleasant, TX and Stella Joanne (Dean) Overman of Dayton, OH; and sister-in-law, Margie Bloomfield of Georgia. In addition to her parents and husband, Lucy was preceded by two children Alice and Albert Foreman, daughter-in-law Charlene Foreman, two grandsons Joseph and Andrew Foreman, sisters and brothers-in-law Osa (Ray) Charles, Agnes (Harry) Pennington, Olive (Bob) Huber, Phyllis Bloomfield, brothers and sister-in-law Harrison (Doris), Paul and Fred Ferris Bloomfield, brother-in-law Harold Nelson. Lucy was a long time resident of Grove City, Ohio. She owned and operated the Grove City Bakery for many years. Lucy loved to travel, painting, baking, gardening, quilting and many other crafts. She was very active with the Lions, Grove City Senior Center and the American Cancer Society. Lucy will be sadly missed by the family she leaves behind on earth but her arrival in Heaven will be rejoiced by her family awaiting her there. Friends may visit Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus Street, Grove City, Ohio, where her funeral will be held 10 a.m. Monday, with Pastor Ruth Pribe officiating.
