Lerner Irene Lerner, age 76, passed away on August 7, 2014. Preceded in death by her parents Michael and Dorothy Silverberg, husband Frank Lerner, father-in-law Harry Lerner, mother-in-law Ethel Lerner, sister-in-law Joyce Silverberg, brother-in-law Andy Lerner. She is survived by her sons, Steven Lerner and Craig (Tamalynn) Lerner; brothers, Leon (Miriam) Silverberg and Arthur Silverberg; granddaughter, Michelle Lerner; sister-in-law, Judith Lerner; brother-in-law, Harry (Riva); step-mother-in-law, Prude; nieces; nephews; and dear friends who were family. Irene loved! That's what she did in life. She was the true strength and joy in the family. Throughout her life, and through her last moments on earth she touched people so deeply. She made those in her world laugh, feel stronger and always made them feel loved. She lived a full and exciting life with her one and only Frank and said that there was no earthly experience left as unfulfilled that could top the life they had together. She could not have loved her children, grandchild or her little Sadie any more, and she could not have cared for them and prepared them for life any better than she has. Irene Lerner is a light that will be missed in so many rooms, but will remain bright in so many hearts. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 10 at EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Areyah Kaltmann officiating. Burial will follow at New Agudas Achim Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at Irene Lerner's residence Sunday after services (6-8 p.m.) and Monday-Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to LUNGevity Foundation or Cancer Support Community Central Ohio.
