Harold E. Gall Obituary
Gall Harold E. Gall, 74, of Worthington, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014. He was born July 24, 1940 in Buffalo, NY to the late Harold F. and Clara Gall. Harold was a graduate of St. Mary's H.S. in Lancaster, NY where he lettered in four sports. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as an Engineman 1st Class on the submarine USS Sea Poacher and the submarine tender USS Proteus. Harold was a longtime employee at Jeffrey Mining Machinery where he was a Quality Control Manager. He was a member of the American Legion and the United States Submarine Veterans, Inc. and former member of the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be remembered for his love of fishing, boating, and woodworking. Harold was a happy, generous man who never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Harold will be missed by his loving wife of 17 years, Dorothy Gall; children, Heather (Cris) George, Pamela (Gary) Miller, Andrew (Jennifer) Gall; step-sons, Christian Wade and Robert Wade; grandchildren, Caitlin, Ian, Margaux, Nathan, Ewan, Cameron, Isobel and Lisa (Zach); great-grandson, Zachary; sister, Doctors Clara and Anton Schreiner; and brother, Dr. Wayne (Susan) Gall. Family will receive friends Monday, August 11, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (just south of I-270). A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 12 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Rittman, OH 44270.
