Hanson Arthur Thomas Hanson 88 of Canal Winchester, passed away Fri. Aug. 8, 2014 at home. He was born on Sept. 11, 1925 in Columbus to the late Nelson and Stella (Gayle) Hanson. He retired from the former Long Branch Cocktail Lounge as manager for 25 years. Arthur was a veteran of the U.S. Army during W.W. II, receiving a Purple Heart. Survived by Ruby G. Hanson of Canal Winchester; step children, Judith Russell of Reynoldsburg, Patrick (Frieda) Schutte of Ashville, and Rory (Pam) Schutte of Reynoldsburg; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers Nelson Robert and Jim. A memorial service will be held at a later date that will be published. Arrangements by OLIVER-CHEEK FUNERAL HOME, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, Ohio.
