Phillips Benny E. Phillips, age 64, of Hebron, passed away Saturday morning, August 9, 2014 at the Dayton VA Hospital. Born June 20, 1950 in Plain City. US Army veteran during the Vietnam era. Self-employed carpenter for many years in the central Ohio area. Preceded in death by parents Earl and Ruby (Hicks) Phillips, one great-granddaughter. Survived by his wife, Brenda (Richards) Phillips; his children, Tracy (Ronald) Reed and Jason (Joy) Phillips; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, Bob Phillips, Bill Phillips Rick (Debbie) Phillips. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main Street (St. Rte. 161W), Plain City, where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 with Rev. Steve Hicks officiating and burial Forest Grove Cemetery with the Union County Honor Guard conducting full military honors. Visit to share a special memory.
