Following retirement, she and her husband moved to Englewood, Florida. They later relocated back to Ohio at the Otterbein retirement community in Lebanon where her husband passed away in 2006. She moved to Marysville in 2010 to be closer to family. She was of the Presbyterian faith and enjoyed quilting, reading and gardening. She will be tenderly remembered for her welcoming style and maintaining loveliness and warmth throughout her homes. Above all, she was a devoted wife and dedicated mother and grandmother. She was born June 10, 1925 in Cincinnati to the late Maurice and Eva Whitson Hopkins. She was also predeceased by her husband John R. Hanlon and a brother-and sister-in-law Pat and LaVerne Hanlon.
