Workman James Edward Workman, a retired brick layer and Vietnam Veteran ship navigator, passed away on August 19, 2014 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on January 28, 1945 to the late Arthur Bascom and Isabelle Crum. He is preceded in death by 15 siblings and his beloved 3rd wife Polly Thornsbury Workman. He is survived by eight siblings; children, Judy Workman, Jeannette Workman and Janice Workman; children by marriage, Michael Thornsbury, Beverly Varney and Evellyn Thornsbury; grandchildren, Jane Workman, Shane Boland, Kelvy Varney, Cainnan Varney, Gavin Thornsbury; and greatly beloved grandchildren, Kylie Rieder, Jaden Tippie and Olivia Thornsbury who always referred to him as her PawPaw. He is a kind and generous man, who is remembered as someone whose actions always promoted the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ. A service will be held Saturday, August 23, 5 p.m. at the Chapel of EDWARDS FUNERAL SERVICE, 1166 Parsons Ave., where family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until time of service. www.EdwardsFuneralService.com
