Moskonas Marvis J. Moskonas, age 83, of Columbus, passed away at home on August 29, 2014. Marvis was born October 1, 1930 to the late Frederick and Violet (Smeader) Hiser in Alpena, Michigan. Marvis worked at Besser Manufacturing in Alpena, MI and was a head key punch stenographer for the State of Ohio. She was a choir singer for several Methodist Churches and was a member of many bridge and euchre clubs. She is survived by her loving husband, Peter Moskonas; sons, Michael Moskonas, Ronald (Debbie) Moskonas, Robert Moskonas; daughter, Debra (Alan) Hare; grandchildren; Michelle (Eric) Moskonas, Matthew Hare, Joshua Hare, Ashley (Bryan) Souders, Autumn Moskonas; great-granddaughter, Aaliyah; brother, Richard Hiser; sister, Sally Ray; and several nieces and nephews. Marvis is preceded in death by her brother James Hiser. A visitation will be held on TUESDAY, September 2, 2014, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, Reynoldsburg, with a Funeral Service on Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. at the Brice United Methodist Church, 3160 Brice Road, with Pastor David Wells officiating. Friends may call at church one hour prior to service. Burial will follow the service at Holy Cross Cemetery, Pataskala.
