Tom Porter was a true gentleman. I learned so much from him and Carolyn and enjoyed the auctions and the treasures found there. Tom was always willing to help and to teach. I will miss him as a friend and a mentor. Ron Harris, formerly of Columbus, now of Pennsylvania

"Good Bye Tom", You believed in me at a time in my life when I didn't believe in myself. To have been in your pressence was an honor that I will always treasure.
Carolyn, My deepest condolences go out to you. It was my pleasure to have worked along side of you in those days. I can still see you both trading that toothpick.
To the Grandchildren and extended family, I share your loss. Tom was a "True Gentleman".
Sally, Helen, Susie & Sammi, Your father brought with him into any setting "A Smile - A Laugh - An Understanding". Please accept my condolences. His laughter will always be heard.

Tom Porter followed in the footsteps of Garth Oberlander; both men of integrity.

I will always remember the first time that I attended an auction at Garth's with my parents in the mid-1980's. I was hooked and came back for many more. Even though we lived in Texas and later in Maryland, we made our way back to Delaware. Some of my favorite memories are linked to Garth's and the Porters. I loved Tom's style and will always remember him saying "Are we all done?" and the exchanges between he and Carolyn regarding items during the auctions. He will be missed.
Sincerely,
Cindy Watson
