GINGERICH Mark Alan Gingerich, of Plain City, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 13, 2010, after fighting chordoma, a rare cancer, for nearly four years. Mark was born on February 4, 1961, to Joe L. and Mary Ada Gingerich. June 5, 1993, he married Mary Lou Hochstetler, who survives. His life was characterized by service to others and he was active in a number of ministries, including serving as a board member of New Horizons Ministries in Canon City, Colorado. He will be remembered for his generosity and willingness to assist others. He gave his heart to Jesus in his youth and was an active member of Haven Fellowship Church. Mark was president of Gingway Products, Inc. in Plain City. He earned his pilot's license as a youth and enjoyed flying small aircraft and traveling. In addition to his wife, Mark is survived by their four sons, Luke Anthony (15), Wynn Andrew (12), Justin Mark (10), and Eric Joseph (8); his mother; four brothers, Philip (Ruth) Gingerich of Plain City; James (Rhonda) Gingerich of Greenfield, Ohio; Tim (Charlene) Gingerich of Plain City; and Joseph Gingerich of Plain City; two sisters, Karen Gingerich and Beth Gingerich, both of Plain City; 17 nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, a nephew Anthony Gingerich and a niece Tonya Gingerich. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the many kindnesses that have been shown to them during Mark's illness. Friends may call at United Bethel Mennonite Church 5-8 p.m. Sunday and 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 16 at United Bethel Mennonite Church. Interment will follow in Haven Fellowship Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Loving Care Hospice, 779 London Avenue, Marysville, OH 43040.
