Lucille Baer Obituary

BAER Lucille Baer, age 93, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Villa Angela. She was born on January 12, 1917 in Columbus, she is the daughter of the late Edward and Gladys Braskett. Lucille is also preceded in death by her husbands Kermit Brady and Ed Baer, two sisters Marie and Beatrice and daughters-in-law Mary and Margaret. She is a graduate of West High School and was involved in their Alumni Association for many years. Lucille enjoyed trips all over the world, but frequently went back to Hawaii; and always brought back souvenirs for her family. She had a green thumb and enjoyed taking care of her flowers in the backyard. She was a member of Eastern Star and was very active in the 37th Division Veterans Association with her late husband, Ed. She is survived by her sons, Jim Brady and Jack (Judith) Brady; grandchildren, Jason, Joseph, Jonathan, Mimi, Beth Ann, Cathy and Jimmy; ten great-grandchildren; and two great- great-granddaughters. Family will receive friends on Monday, May 3, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204, where funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. Pastor Don Hilkenbaumer officiating. Interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Lucy and Ed were active members of the Camp Shelby Chapter of the 37th Division Veterans Association. I lost contact with Lucy when she lived in Indiana.
