LAMP James David Lamp, age 63, of Columbus, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Mayfair Village. He served in the Marine Corps as well as in Army Reserve. Jim attended Columbus College of Art and Design and was a portrait artist; he also attended The Ohio State University studying philosophy. He enjoyed working with his hands and built a 42' sailboat, "Wet Socks", which he sailed to the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, and up the East Coast to Rhode Island. His parents, Thomas and Serena, and brothers, Steve and Rick, precede him in death. He is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Eli (Penny) and Thomas Lamp; grandson, Jacob Lamp; sisters, Dawn and Diana Lamp; sister-in-law, Nancy Lamp; many other relatives and friends.
