Robert Wesley Vickroy Jr.

VICKROY JR. Robert Wesley Vickroy Jr., 44, of Rockbridge, Ohio, passed away June 20, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Robert was born March 22, 1966 in Columbus, Ohio to Robert Wesley Vickroy and Josephine Carol Nicely. He graduated with honors from the Circleville Bible College; Deacon at the Voice of Faith Temple of Logan; member of the Bair Foundation Foster Care Agency; and was a avid golfer and member of a league for blind golfers. Surviving are wife, Teri Vickroy of Rockbridge; children, Megan (Jon Beck) Ashcraft of Lancaster, Ashley Marie (Derrick) Sanders of Lancaster, Dustin Lewis Carter of Logan, David Daniel Vickroy of Rockbridge, Dakota Rayne Vickroy of Rockbridge, Shelby Layne Vickroy of Rockbridge and Isaiah Robert Vickroy of Rockbridge; grandchildren, Addison Amerah Stivison, and Akerah Mayvon Sanders; parents, Jack and Carol Nicely of Westerville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Karen Hauck of Rockbridge; brother, John (Amy) Nicely of Lewis Center; sister, Kelly (Brian) Kirk of Pataskla; sister-in-laws, Misty (Tim) Metcalf, Connie Morgan, and Heidi (Clarence) Hartrum; brother-in-law, Albert (Alicia) Hauck; and several nieces, nephews, uncles, and many friends including Marsha Harrington, Dave Goldstein, Lenny Klinebriel, and Filmore Ashcraft. Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the HEINLEIN-BROWN FUNERAL HOME, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Filmore G. Ashcraft officiating. Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery in Logan, Ohio. Calling hours will be observed Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
