On the first visit with my mom,Imogene Belcher, after being sent to The Columbus Colony, we were met at the front door by Miss Millie (as we later referred to her). My little granddaughter, Mikki, was with us. Miss Millie talked to Mikki and greeted us as if the Colony was her own home. She was such a delightful lady and we always looked for her, hugged her, and visited with her each time we visited my mom.
We were deeply saddened to hear that she had passed away. We will miss her VERY much. I don't think we will ever forget her.

I always enjoyed seeing Millie at Columbus Colony when I visited my mom. She didn't know a stranger and she had a good sense of humor. I'll miss seeing her in the hallway - she was one of my favorites!
