JANNEY Larry R. Janney, age 71, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Regency Hospital. Larry was born November 11, 1939 in Portsmouth, OH and was preceded in death by his parents Ralph Janney and Garnet Royal. He and his wife of 54 years, Carolyn, raised two sons, Larry "Scott" Janney (Sheryl) and Phillip "Keith" Janney (Sandy); also survived by three special grandchildren, Phillip Matthew Janney, Natalie Garnet Janney, Barry Christopher Janney; and beloved dogs, Sam and Bucky. Larry was a graduate of Clay High School and a retired truck driver. His passion was racing! He was a NHRA record holder and national champion. He enjoyed life to the fullest for as long as he could. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204, where friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday and 10:30-11:30 a.m. Monday. Interment Galloway Cemetery. Larry's family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Regency Hospital and Doctors West Hospital for their kindness not only to Larry, but to their entire family.
