HUNT Linda R. Hunt, age 58, of Sunbury, passed away Tuesday morning, following an extended illness. She was born on January 6, 1953 in Columbus to the late Park Mayhew and Betty (Compton) Mayhew of Sunbury. A graduate of Northland High School in 1971 and the Nationwide Beauty Academy, she worked briefly as a cosmetologist. She then provided child care in her home for 20 years before becoming an associate in the records dept. with the Easton Office of Huntington Bank. A mother first and foremost, she was loyal, sometimes outspoken, and forever devoted to her family. A woman of deep and abiding faith, she was a member of Brookside Baptist Church. A collector of porcelain dolls, she enjoyed family vacations to Myrtle Beach and crocheting blankets for her grandchildren. She was happiest with her family near bye, cooking a wonderful Sunday meal, and holding a grandbaby. She leaves to cherish her memory along with her mother Betty, beloved husband of almost 33 years, David; children, Michael (Jennifer) of Gahanna, Christina (Jason) Rowland of Galloway, Jeremy (Samantha) Hunt of Galena; nine grandchildren; brothers, Joe (Casey) Mayhew, David (Debra) Mayhew; and mother-in-law, Mary Cogley of Ravenna. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by an infant brother Steven and father-in-law Michael Hunt. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the DeVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, SR's 3 at 61, Sunbury. Funeral service giving glory to God for the life of Linda will be held Saturday 10 a.m. at Brookside Baptist Church, 7255 Rodebaugh Rd., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 with her husband Pastor David Hunt officiating.
