Dennis Richard Nighbert

NIGHBERT Dennis "Denny" Richard Nighbert, 60, went to his final rest on February 23, 2011 after a long battle with diabetes and muscular dystrophy. Born March 6, 1950. Dennis was a graduate of West High School and a lifelong resident of Columbus. He will be warmly remembered for his devotion to work, family and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Dennis was a retired security guard who was once recognized for an incredible streak of 17 years without missing a single day of work. He was also an avid Buckeye fan who never missed a game. Preceded in death by his mother Erline. Survived by wife, Susan; son, Nick; siblings, Ronnie (Sherry), Sherline (Drew) Lear; nephews, Rob (Stacy), Tommy Lear; nieces, Shelly, Keitha Lear; other nieces, many cousins; and father, Sherman. Visitation Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 2-6 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Monday, February 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
