HENDERSON Jessie Lee Towers Henderson was born on December 31, 1926 in Tchula, Ms and departed this life on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. She joined her family in Columbus, OH and united with Union Grove Baptist Church in 1940. Jessie graduated from East High School and in 1980 she retired from Western Electric (Lucent Technologies). Preceded in death by parents Walter and Leola Towers, brothers William James, Ambrose, and Walter Towers, sisters Lucille McCoy, Freddie Pope, Ruby Anderson, and Herculine Towers, daughter Gayle A. Davis, son-in-law Curtis Wright. Survived by husband, John Henderson; daughters, Saundra Almond, and Krystal Wright; son, Jon David (Hollis) Henderson of Powell, OH; sister, Elma Hairston; brother, Luther (Gloria) Towers of Cleveland, OH; sister-in-law, Naomi Towers of New Albany, OH; grandchildren, Al, Jr., Anthony (Kelly) Almond, Valerie Yarbrough, Jon, Jr., Hali Henderson, Kristina Douglas, Brian Wright; great-grandchildren, Alexa, Cydney, Kallie Almond, Kyla Douglas; god-daughter, Jodi Roberts of CA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and special friends. Funeral 11 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Union Grove Baptist Church, 266 N. Champion Ave. Rev. Henry L. Johnson III, Officiant. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by C. D. WHITE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1217 Mt. Vernon Ave.
