Stanley Huston Obituary

HUSTON Stanley O. Huston, age 82, of Grove City, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at his residence. Stanley worked for Columbus Bituminous Concrete Corp. (a subsidiary of Anderson Concrete), as superintendant where he retired after 49 years of service. Stanley, with his brother-in-law also founded A&H Trucking. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the Big Red 1 and was a member of the American Legion Post #164. He loved going down home to the cabin in Vinton County to hunt with his boys and his annual family fishing trip to Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents Clinton and Mary Huston, brother Marvin (Bessie) Huston, sister Medrith (Franklin) Allman, grandson Ryan Morbitzer. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley Huston; children, Jeffrey (Ronda) Huston, Joanne (Steven) Morbitzer, James (Diane) Huston and Ruthanne (Greg) Hunter; brother, Ellsworth (Donna) Huston; grandchildren, Jamie Lee, Matthew, Jason and Tyler; great-grandchild, Kennedy; and many wonderful nieces, nephews and special friends. Friends may visit on Monday from 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City. Funeral will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Grove City United Methodist Church, 2684 Columbus St., Grove City, with Pastor Tom Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Alton-Darby Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Galen Davis and Dr. Jack Stanko and the Hospice Nurses Tina and Chapa for their excellent care. Memorial donations be made to McArthur Food Pantry, 201 E. Shirley,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know what you are going through. I think John and Stanley (two great men) are sitting and talking right now. They say that time heals, the pain does lessen a little each day, but the void will always be there. If you ever need a friend to talk to, I'm here!
