BAXTER Violet Asbury Baxter, age 83, of Columbus, OH. Passed away January 31, 2012. She was a graduate of Tazewell High School in Virginia, where she was member of the ladies basketball team. Violet was a waitress, typist and store clerk. She married July 31, 1946 Isaac "Ike" Sanford Baxter, after which she attended and graduated from Capital Beauty School in 1949. Violet worked as a cosmetologist and homemaker. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Isaac of 36 years, parents, three sisters, two brothers, her husband's parents and brother-in-law. Survived by four sisters and one brother; Isaac's two sisters and brother; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins of her husband's family. Also many friends and neighbors. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, Victorian Village Chapel, 34 W. 2nd Ave. Dr. Rev. Joel Baer officiating. Inurnment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
