TROUTEN Stephen Gerard Trouten, age 55, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. He was born in Columbus on September 18, 1956. Stephen was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, and he participated in the Special Olympics. He was a great swimmer, and he was chosen to compete in the International Special Olympics at Notre Dame. He also enjoyed bowling at Main Lanes, Holiday Lanes, and the Columbus Square Bowling Palace. He enjoyed working and was employed at many places over the years, including Taco Bell, Bank One, and Goodwill. He was preceded in death by his father Ronald L. Trouten and infant sister Sharon Lynn. Stephen is survived by his mother, Madeline Trouten; siblings, Thomas (Sharon) Trouten, Dianne Trouten, Susan D'Amato, and Richard (Lucia) Trouten; seven nieces and nephews; five great- nieces and nephews; and roommates, Tom Knight Jr. and Jonathan Ford. Special thanks to the caring staff at Franklin County Residential Services-Morse Road, Apt. E. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2012, at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4383 E. Broad St. Fr. William L. Arnold, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Special Olympics, or to Franklin County Residential Services-Morse Road.
