OTTO Daniel Otto, age 38, died in a tragic car accident, while on vacation in Palm Springs, California. He was a 14 years veteran and dedicated Detective of the Delaware County Sheriffs Department. Graduate of Ohio State, Newark campus. He was a devoted and loving father, brother and son. He worked diligently to protect his family, friends, and community from harm. Compassion, understanding, and justice for the victims he served were his constant concern and core of his career. Survived by children, Mercedes Thompson, Mason Otto; parents, Craig and Bette Otto of Pataskala; sister, Nichole and Kevin Hankins of Westerville; grandparents, Daniel and Phyllis Case of Phoenix, AZ; aunts and uncles, Ken and Kathleen Cramer of Gahanna, Bob and Jeanette Thompson of Yuba City, CA, William and Tina Anderson of Phoenix, AZ; his brother-in-crime, Kevin Cramer; many cousins and friends who mourn his loss.
